Who’s behind CAYC? Why was it made?

My name is Callista. I’m an artist, a writer, and a pathological researcher. I’ve been suicidal off and on since I was 8 years old, but I’ve made it to 32 now, so clearly I’m doing something right. On a daily basis, I deal with depression, anxiety, migraines, and just lots of chronic, but mostly manageable pain. It hurts to get a hug when I haven’t slept very well – I can feel the person’s fingers and elbows seared into my shoulders for ages after an embrace. I walk with a cane on bad days, when my left knee gives out randomly and I have to go outside. I HATE my cane.

I’ve created Create All You Can to help people like me – artists, writers, designers and all the side-hustlers of the world that have the additional challenge of dealing with an invisible disability. This is a broad brush, so I’ll be focused on the issues that I have personal experience with; chronic pain and fatigue, celiac disease, depression, anxiety, and panic attacks.
